Eczema is a skin condition that causes irritation in the skin and the affected area become swollen and itchy. 1. Keep the skin moist. Taking bleach baths(1/2 cup), oatmeal baths(1 cup of blended oats), or using epsom salt(450g) in baths can be helpful ways to help treat eczema. Too much water can tend to cause dry skin. Don't take long baths, but keeping the skin moist definitely helps those with eczema.

And it'll help you keep it from itching and becoming irritated. You can buy this cream from your local health and wellness store. Or you can get it at a cosmetic store.

3. Our blood is alkaline and so are fruits and green vegetables. They balance with our blood and should be consumed in adequate quantities. Salt, cereals, sugar, fats and boiled milk add to acidity and should be avoided in so far as possible. Onions, garlic, radish should be avoided.

4. Comfrey root reduces inflammation and heals wounds. It hastens cell renewal and growth and helps reduce scarring. Slippery elm has tannins that are potent enough to kill and remove germs. Slippery elm is effective in reducing inflammation that results from infection.

5. Oatmeal is another effective method to use when bathing. Oatmeal is said to help eliminate the itching, and is recommended fro bathing for those with skin problems. Use colloidal oatmeal, which comes in a form of a powder.

6. Another one of the home remedies for eczema is to use blueberry extract. Blueberry extract is in a few type of lotions. This remedy will help you with inflammation. And it will help you keep your skin from itching. You can get this remedy from your local store. Be sure to apply some of this to your skin every day.

7. The treatment should start with one week of fruits and vegetables. Salt-free boiled vegetables with whole meal flour is recommended after one week's fruit fast. Coconut oil may be used instead of ghee. After some time curd and milk could be added to the diet.

8. Some natural moisturizers and lotions have ingredients like licorice extract and blueberry leaf. Licorice extract quickly reduces redness and swelling and it relieves pain related to open lesions and skin wounds. Blueberry leaves have a powerful compound that prevents germs from spreading, and preventing secondary infection from forming. Blueberry leaves reduces the inflammation and redness from eczema.
